Dr. Mark Burbridge is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology. He completed internal medicine residency at Keesler Medical Center where he was selected to be Chief Resident and later completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina where he served as Chief Fellow. His practice centers on open communication and ample time spent educating patients and families and ensuring they fully understand their disease process and available treatments. He is particularly interested in personalized cancer care, utilizing next-generation sequencing alongside the most current, evidence-based treatment data to deliver customized and effective cancer care.

Before his oncology training, Dr. Burbridge served in the United States Air Force as Director of Internal Medicine at Luke Air Force Base. During his active duty service, he was deployed to Afghanistan for which he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. Teaching and mentorship are central to Dr. Burbridge’s work. He has taught as an adjunct professor at A.T. Still University and remains actively involved in guiding students and fellows in their professional development.
